Lethbridge Brand Photographer. I get it — you receive your shiny new folder of beautiful, strategic brand photos and you’re over the moon. They’re beautiful! You can not WAIT to use them. But then some time passes and before you know it, the excitements worn off and your photos remain in that dusty ol’ computer folder. Whoops.
Brand photography is an investment into your business — an investment that, quite frankly, doesn’t pay off if you leave those photos in a folder, never to see the light of day.
If you want to stand out from the oversaturated market that is your industry, and if you want to confidently show up in your marketing, then you need to use your brand photos. When used consistently, your photos play a huge role in elevating your brand and creating recognizability, establishing you as the go-to expert, and showcasing who you are and what you do. Long story short, they’re kinda a big deal. 😉
So, what the heck should you be doing with your photos once they arrive in your inbox? Good question. Let this Lethbridge brand photographer tell you. 🙃
You aren’t going to use your photos if they aren’t easily accessible. Enough said.
Bonus tip: when you download your photos, make sure you save them as City Name Your Industry.01, etc. (eg. Calgary Brand Photographer.01) This is super helpful for SEO and also makes it easy to find your photos on whichever device you’re using.
If you don’t already create on-brand graphics using your photos and colours, you need to be! While brand photos are a great tool for creating brand recognizability, especially when used over a consistent period of time, graphics aid in that! Canva is my go-to for creating my graphics. And nothing is easier than having your photos already uploaded, ready to start using!
Let’s be real, almost anyone who is interested in working with you is going to look for you across your social media platforms and website. Having the same profile picture across all your platforms, as well as on your website, helps build brand consistency. Plus, who doesn’t want to show off their favourite new photo. Bonus points if you feel extra confident and fab in it!
Google loves a good website refresh and honestly, so do we! Show off your business personality, who you are and what you do with some of your brand spankin’ new photos. This is especially important if your website is currently full of stock photos!
I’m curious — drop into the comments and tell me, what’s been your favourite way to use your photos?
PS. Want to check out one of my favourite brand sessions? Yeah, you do!
